Our Filters

Sand filters use a bed of specially graded sand to trap dirt and debris as water passes through. The sand captures particles, allowing clean water to flow back into the pool. They are low maintenance, durable, and great for handling large volumes of water.

Dual-speed pumps offer two operating speeds. High speed for heavy-duty cleaning and low speed for everyday filtration. This flexibility allows pool owners to reduce energy consumption by running the pump at lower speeds when full power isn’t necessary, helping save on electricity costs without sacrificing performance.

DE filters use a fine powder made from fossilized algae (diatomaceous earth) coated on filter grids to trap extremely small particles. They offer the highest level of filtration among pool filters, producing crystal-clear water. Though they require more upkeep and periodic replenishing of DE powder.

  • How often should I clean or replace my pool filter?

    • Sand filters: Typically need backwashing every 1–2 weeks and sand replacement every 5–7 years.
    • Cartridge filters: Should be cleaned every 2–6 weeks and replaced every 1–2 years.
    • DE filters: Need backwashing and fresh DE powder added every 4–6 weeks, with a full breakdown and cleaning 1–2 times per season.
  • Can I switch my current pool filter to a different type?

Yes, many pool owners switch filters to better suit their needs, but it may require adjustments to your pool’s plumbing and pump system.

  • Which type of filter is best for my pool size and maintenance preference?

Sand filters are ideal for larger pools and those who want low maintenance options. Cartridge filters suit smaller to medium pools and users who prefer easy cleaning without water waste.
